To Truly Face the World is to Allow yourself to be Seen
Author Bianca Moeschinger - 1st December 2023
To truly face the world is to allow yourself to be seen. By being seen, you open up to another's judgment of you. This judgment can be the very thing that makes you turn in again and again and again.
That judgment is only talking about the judgment you already have inside yourself that sits on top of your insecurities. Those insecurities are bred from a place of 'a lack of acceptance'; that lack of acceptance comes from a lack of validation and being heard at the time in your ;life when you really needed to be heard.
That voice of the little girl or boy that was innocently finding their way, untarnished, pure, the voice of one who was learning how to find their voice in the world and trust their gut feelings.
They needed confirmation that what they were feeling was true and valid, that it was okay, and that they were okay.
That little bud needed that simple'I hear you', I understand', yes, thats true, I love you...
You know it is never too late for this to happen. I am that to many others, due to the fact that I never felt I had it to the degree that I needed it.
Many of us don't have it; most of the time, it is not intentional. Our parents or caregivers believe they know better than us, they simply don't have the time, or they are too busy telling us what to do or teaching us how to be a model citizen. They simply don't trust that a child is born with wisdom and intelligence beyond their own.
Once we become our own adults, we can accept, validate, hear, hold, and understand that child inside us. When this happens, the insecurities become smaller and smaller, and the judgment becomes less and less.
Others will continue to judge; we just won't feel, see, or hear it anymore.
